The Appomattox River Water Authority is open for public tours Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm.
We welcome tour groups of interested community members, school and university groups, and
water professionals.Plant tours must be scheduled in advance, by filling out and returning our Plant Tour Request Form.
Note: Proper footwear is required, including no open-toed shoes, sandals, or flip-flops.
As this sign shows, there are challenging rapids and good kayaking on the Appomattox River above Lake Chesdin.
Public Meetings
All meetings of the ARWA Board of Directors are open to the public to attend.Meetings are held at the Appomattox River Water Authority facility on the third Thursday of every month at 2:00 pm unless otherwise posted.
